In 2011, Heidi graduated from Lee University with a BA in political science, international relations. She was named the top student in her department and nominated for the F.J. Lee award, given to one Lee University graduate who has “modeled high standards of integrity, leadership, service, broad campus involvement and academic excellence.”
Having a passion for place and setting, Heidi began working with a real estate firm in downtown Indianapolis in January 2013. While there, she had the opportunity to test her design skills by creating floor plans for gutted houses, gathering bids, and choosing finishes as the houses move toward completion. She was also the firm’s resident marketing and staging expert.
In January 2014, Heidi began attending IUPUI’s Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, studying Interior Design Technology, to invest in her passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces that meet aesthetic, practical, and intangible needs. Soon thereafter, Heidi landed an internship at a local architectural firm where she has worked on everything from residential, hospitality, financial – you name it, while she continues her education.
This website chronicles her work as a student and as a professional – from imaginary clients to real projects that she has worked on from start to finish.
